Equine Photography - Process
What to expect from your Photoshoot
Lets make it speacial
Maybe you have been thinking about a horse photoshoot for a while.
Maybe you already imagine how it could feel, or maybe you are still unsure what to expect.
Both is completely okay.
This page is here to gently guide you through the process, so you can approach your photoshoot with a calm mind and an open heart. Because in the end, this is not about planning something perfectly. It is about creating space for something real.
A horse photoshoot should never feel like something you have to get right.
It should feel like time you get to share with your horse, in a way that stays with you long after.
Reaching out.
Everything begins with a simple message.
You reach out in your own way, whether that is through email, social media, WhatsApp or a call. There is no pressure, just a first step.
We talk about what you feel drawn to. About your horse, about the kind of images you dream of and about what feels important to you.
This is where we start to get a feeling for each other. Not just about the photoshoot itself, but about the story behind it.
You will also receive a small guide from me, filled with gentle advice and thoughts to help you prepare without feeling overwhelmed.
Preparing your session
.
After we have found a date, everything begins to settle into place.
There is no rush during this time. You can share ideas, photos or questions whenever they come to you. Sometimes this happens slowly over weeks, sometimes more spontaneously.
A few days before your horse photoshoot, we connect again. We look at the weather, talk through the final details and make sure everything feels right.
Not perfect. Just right.
This moment before the shoot often brings a quiet kind of excitement. A feeling that something meaningful is about to happen.
Your horse photoshoot.
And then the day arrives.
We begin slowly, without pressure. You arrive, your horse arrives, and we take a moment to simply be there.
There is no need to perform, no need to do anything a certain way. I guide you gently when needed, but most of the time I step back and allow things to unfold.
The way your horse looks at you. The way you reach out without thinking. The small, quiet moments in between.
This is where the magic is.
Whether we are standing at the sea, walking through open landscapes or finding stillness in a quiet place, everything is shaped around you and your horse.
Not the other way around.
Your selection gallery.
After your horse photoshoot, the experience does not end. It simply changes its form.
While you return home and slowly let everything sink in, I begin going through your images. Carefully, attentively, reliving the moments we created together.
Within about seven days, you will receive your personal gallery. A quiet space where you can look through your images in your own time.
You will see all selected photos in their natural state. Nothing is finished yet, but everything is already there.
You choose the images that speak to you. The ones that feel like you.
And if you ever feel unsure, I am here to guide you through that decision.
Editing your images.
This is where your images begin to take their final form.
Each photograph is edited with intention and care. Not to change it, but to bring out what was already felt in that moment.
Light becomes softer, colors become warmer, details become clearer. But the essence always stays the same.
I have spent years developing a style that reflects exactly this feeling. Calm, honest and deeply connected.
Every image is treated individually, because every moment deserves that attention.
Receiving your photographs.
When everything is finished, your images are returned to you.
You receive them as a digital download, ready to be saved, shared and revisited whenever you want.
There are two versions of each image. One for sharing, one just for you.
But beyond that, you also receive something you can hold in your hands. Fine art prints that bring your moments into the physical world.
Because there is something special about holding a memory. About seeing it, not just on a screen, but right in front of you.
Your gallery also gives you the option to turn your images into albums, wall art or other pieces that stay with you in your everyday life.
